Senior Business Analyst – Investment Operations

Location: Boston, MA (Preferred) or Springfield, MA | Hybrid (3 days in-office: Tuesday & Wednesday required, plus one flexible day)

Employment Type: Contract (Potential for Extension)

About the Role:

We are seeking two Senior Business Analysts to support a key cash clearing project within the Investment Operations program. This role is ideal for a highly skilled BA with expertise in trade lifecycle, cash clearing processes, and investment operations . You’ll collaborate with both business and technology teams to enhance trade processing, ensure accurate cash settlements, and optimize operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document trade flows, cash clearing processes, and settlement workflows .
• Work closely with business and technology teams to define and implement solutions.
• Map business processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate on remediation efforts for cash clearing and trade matching.
• Ensure alignment with industry clearing systems (DTC, Euroclear, SWIFT, etc.).
• Gather and document business and functional requirements .
• Provide insights on accounting implications related to cash settlements.
• Support an Agile work environment while also adapting to hybrid project methodologies .

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in investment operations, trade processing, or financial services .
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle , cash clearing, and settlement processes.
• Experience working with clearing systems (DTC, Euroclear, SWIFT, etc.).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to create business process flows and documentation .
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
• Preferred: Certifications such as CBAP, CFE, or PMP (not required).
