Laboratory Technician

Their products and solutions contribute to conserving resources, ensuring nutrition and improving quality of life. Our client is expanding and seeking a Laboratory Technician in Southfield, MI.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Analytical Lab Technician to join our team, focusing on repetitive analysis using Gas Chromatography (GC), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC). In this role, you will be responsible for preparing samples, conducting analyses, and interpreting results to ensure the quality and compliance of coatings products.

Responsibilities:

• Perform coatings analysis using GC, HPLC, and GPC techniques in accordance with established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare and calibrate laboratory instruments, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct sample preparation, including dilution, filtration, and derivatization as needed for accurate analysis.
• Analyze data and document results accurately, maintaining detailed records in compliance with laboratory standards.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• 1 year Laboratory Experience
• Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable with email, MS Word and MS Excel.
• Experience in laboratory activity - performance experiments and familiarity with basic chemical mixing is required.

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Pay Rate: The pay range for this position is $19.00 – 22.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday Days

Length of Assignment: Contract (1 year)
